Life is Cat-Crazy!
Our new member, Cleo !
The Book we named Cleo after..
You must read this book if you haven't already.
Am I behind or what? My last post was in June of 2011! Life has been throwing me some
unexpected twists and turns in the last 8 months! Starting with my son in June, breaking his leg at school playing Soccer; one of my cats became terminally ill and crossed the bridge in January. RIP ~~Half-Ear..We miss you!
But the biggest wrench in the road for me and my family, was my husband having a heart attack the day before Thanksgiving at the age of 49. That was a real eye opener and knowing he died on the table! But thankfully, with todays modern tech world, the Doctors brought him back!
So the last 3 months, it has been a challenge for all of us. Not only did he have to change his diet, but I had to keep the stress level low! That was the biggest challenge with four young children in a very outgrown home including 3 indoor cats and 2 dogs!!
He is doing very well now, with no damage to his heart from the attack. In April, he goes in for a stress test on the left side of his heart which is slightly diseased. *Fingers and paws crossed*
During this ordeal, I think God sent us a lil kitten to keep us laughing! A week before Christmas, I recieved the phone call from a friend, "There is the cutest homeless kitten on my porch, and she won't leave! She is skinny and hungry. We are leaving for vacation for 2 weeks and it is so cold out...." That's all it took..I was suckered! Of course intentions were to fatten her up and give her a new home! Yeah, right!! She's a permanent member to our ever so growing family. Her name is Cleo! If you have ever read the book, "Cleo" by Helen Brown; then you may understand where she got her name! She has been a delight and she brought laughter in our very stressed home. How could I give her up when she made us love her!?
I have been able to keep up with my weekly comic for Life With Cats along with a few other drawings! So please take a look in my gallery, I will add some of the popular comics along with a few other drawings of people's beloved pets.

New Cat-toonz
Hey everyone...sorry I've been slacking on this blog.
Life has been crazy as I'm sure everyone's life is these days!
But thought I should share with you my new Toonz at Life With Cats Website.
The first one is drawn based on the new family pet we bought. It took some nagging and serious pleading from the kids before my husband and I caved in! We brought home a black and white hamster named Elvis. We had him home for three weeks shut in my daughters room, before the cats ever knew. We finally bought a hamster ball for him, so he can roam the living room and tantalize the cats! It worked! They were so curious to what that was in a rolling ball; although one of my cats, Winnie was very stand -offish.
So hence my new comic. My cat Eddie followed that hamster ball everywhere and I could just see the wheels turning in his head. FOOD catered to me in a rolling ball!!

My first cartoon on Life With Cats
I am so excited! I have been asked to submit a cat cartoon every Sunday on the web page Life With Cats!
The idea is to draw a cartoon from a cat's point of view. I will mostly be using Eddie,Winnie and my other cats as subjects. I will also use Eddie and Winnie's friends as well.
My dream has always been to draw animal cartoons through children's books or greeting cards! So why not start with a website! Thank you to the team at Life With Cats for giving me this opportunity and a beginning to my dream!!!
